Family Law and Estate Planning Attorneys, helping families through the process of legal transitions

Tony Toepfer

St. Cloud Family Lawyer

Attorney Anthony (Tony) Toepfer began his legal career in the area of business and technology law. While successful in that field, he felt there was something missing. He turned down opportunities, because, as he says, “I wanted to see the faces of the people I was helping.” He transitioned into family law practice, and found what he was looking for.

Tony takes pride in being effective in his work without fitting negative stereotypes of attorneys. He is dedicated to his work and to protecting his clients’ interests, and focuses on helping them build the future they want, rather than getting mired in the difficulties of the past. He is acutely aware that family law situations involve more than just the law; they include emotional and financial concerns as well. Tony tries to connect his clients with whatever type of help they need to make it through difficult family transitions.

Colleagues describe Tony as someone who very rarely misses a detail regarding the facts, with a wonderful ability to understand someone’s perspective while keeping neutral. These traits help him to work efficiently, while helping clients to maintain a sense of calm in chaotic situations.

Having gone through the process of divorce himself, Tony is acutely aware of the challenges clients face both emotionally and logistically during this difficult time.

Tony enjoys living in Minnesota and is committed to the St. Cloud community. He is a supporter of the arts and is involved with a number of community groups, including performing with GREAT Theater and serving on the board of directors of Anna Marie’s Alliance.

Tony lives with his son and his cat, Jimothy. When not practicing law, he enjoys participating in fantasy sports leagues, playing Ultimate Frisbee, bowling, going to St. Cloud Rox baseball games, and keeping up with the latest in technology.
